YWRW prefers checks and cash for all events and pre-registrations.  We understand that this is not always possible for everyone.  In an effort to be more response to the consumer, we are offering the ability to pre-pay for these special events using a credit card.  This takes additional work on our end and the credit card companies keep some of the processing fees.  As much as we would wish it not to be necessary, the price for Credit Card reservations is more then the cash/check price.  Package the items to save a few dollars. 

Remembrance Day Parade:  AVA Event # AT25/129417   5K & 10K Trails, Rated 1A

This walk starts at the parking lot between the YMCA and Lutheran Seminary. It will follow the route of the RememberanceRemembrance Day Parade which consists of Civil War Reenactors, to include those portraying the civilians of Gettysburg. You will see thousands of reeenactors wearing uniforms from different periods during the Civil War. We highly recommend you do this walk on Saturday when the parade is held. Your children/grandchildren will enjoy this walk!

Hauntings & Rebels: AVA Event # AT25/129442 5K & 10K Trails, Rated 1B

This walk starts at the Gettysburg Recreation Park and consists of two 5K loops. The Pickett’s Charge loop will follow the route of Pickett’s Division when they attacked on July 3, 1863. The Hauntings Loop will take you past haunted places on the south end of town. Learn why Gettysburg is the Most Haunted Town in America. Avoid doing the Hauntings Loop during mid-day on Saturday due to the RememberanceRemembrance Day Parade.

Secrets of Gettysburg: AVA Event # AT25/129454 5K & 10K Trails, Rated 1A

This walk starts at the National Cemetery Parking Lot and goes through the National Cemetery and around town. Lorraine points out and explains interesting things that most people do not know about the town of Gettysburg. Avoid doing this walk during mid-day on Saturday due to the Remembrance Day Parade.

Ghost Tour:  AVA Event # AT25/129463    5K & 10K Trails, Rated 1A

Saturday Evening Only - Nov 15

Participants should bring a flashlight. This walk starts at the Gettysburg Recreation Park and consists of two 5K loops. The 5K Ghost Tour is a Guided Night Walk. The walk with depart the Rec Park at 4:15 pm and go to the Gettysburg Ghost Tours at 420 Steinwehr Ave. The cost of our Ghost Tour is $20 (includes the $4 fee for Paid Participants). You must preregister by sending a check, payable to the YWRW, that is received by Bill Lore, 425 Quaker Dr, York, PA, 17402-4139.by November 1. There will be no refunds. After the tour, we will return to the Rec Park. The other 5K is the Dinner Walk. It also starts from the Rec Park and passes restaurants where you can eat dinner.

Volksswim: The Gettysburg YWCA is now the Gettysburg Branch of the Hanover YMCA. We are no longer able to use the pool for a traditional swim event during the Haunted Gettysburg Weekend. We have some guest passes that were issued by the Gettysburg YWCA that are valid until November 30, 2025.
