ANNUAL PICNIC & 40TH ANNIVERSARY, 1984-2024
At our annual picnic June 19, 2024, held this year at John Rudy Park, we celebrated the Wanderers' 40th year as a club under the auspices of the American Volkssport Association.
Before diving into the cake, we had fried chicken, fruit, salad, and other sides. The pavilion and surrounding trees kept us cooler than the 90-degree temperatures elsewhere in York County.
We honored Ray, longtime member and friend, with this cake shared at the inaugural walk named for him after his passing last year. Shown above is his wife Gloria's sister, Kathleen Easter.
At the memorial event at Hanover Junction Station on the Heritage Rail Trail, Gloria Reedy, weapon in hand, about to carve up the cake. A slice was delivered to Ray's wife Gloria later that day.

INAUGURAL DEB CHOINIERE MEMORIAL WALK
March 4, 2023
On March 4, 2023, we honored Deb, our former treasurer, longtime member, and friend, with this cake, shared by the Wanderers on the day of the inaugural walk named for her almost exactly one year after her passing on the trail in Gettysburg PA.
This photo, taken on November 21, 2021, is representative of the countless times geocacher Deb, with husband Keith and their two loyal companions, walked the trails with their fellow Wanderers starting in 1994. Deb will be missed by all.
